Usage Rules for G-punkten

In the Room

Shoes

Shoes are not allowed in G-punkten, in order to avoid damaging furniture and carpets. Avoid wearing your shoes longer than to the shoe racks.

Sound Level

Please bear in mind that even around G-punkten, there are apartments where other students live. This means that the rules for the sound level in your apartment also applies for G-punkten.

Disturbing sound may cause irritation, and music is a common source. Because of this, mind your neighbours when playing music. Please make sure your TV, stereo or any other entertainment system is kept at a sound level that do not disturb other tenants. A good rule: The later at night, the lower the sound level.

Smoking

Smoking inside and outside of G-punkten is prohibited. Smokers are requested to smoke at the grills between G-punkten and house 7.

It´s not allowed to smoke at the gangway between house 5 and the G- punkt. It´s you that book the G-punkten whose responsible for that, so it’s not happening.

 

Booking and renting 

Colonia Tenants

An IBAC member, has the right to reserve and use G-punkten free of charge. To reserve the room, the reservation system should be used. The person reserving the room must commit to following the reservation terms. Each person may have no more than three reservations at a time. If a person has made a reservation but does not plan on using the room, he/she should remove the reservation in time, in order to avoid being held responsible for any potential damage that may arise during the time of the reservation. Once the start time of the reservation has passed, it may no longer be removed.

IBAC members have the right to use the room without a reservation, but must of course respect previous reservations and leave the room in favor of the reserver, once the reservation starts. Hence, we recommend reserving the room for the time you plan on staying there, to make sure nobody will come and claim it. If the usage considers parties or similar activities, or the number of participants exceed 8, it is mandatory to make a reservation.

Outsiders

Groups or associations who are not members of IBAC and do not have the right to use G-punkten are considered outsiders. By request to the board, outsiders may reserve and rent G-punkten for a reasonable fee(currently 500 kronor). The size of the fee is determined by the board. A deposit must be paid, which will be returned when the room has passed inspection. The one who reserves the room must commit to follow the reservation terms. Even if a member of IBAC makes the reservation, it is considered an outside reservation if it will be used by an outside group.

Obs: If a group or organization are found in G-punkten without having rented it the rent plus a penalty fee is issued!

The Board and the Activity Group

The board and the activity group has priority when reserving G-punkten, which means that they in exceptional cases may cancel another member�s reservation. This can be done up until two weeks before the reservation takes place.

IBAC Board Inspector

Each week one board member is responsible for G-punkten. Contact information and a schedule over who is responsible which week is available in G-punkten and on this web site. Contact the board inspector if you have questions or problems concerning the reservation or the room. Cleaning

Cleaning should be performed according to the cleaning instructions in G-punkten. If the room is not clean on time, a cleaning fee of maximum 1000 SEK will be charged. If G-punkten has been used late at night, the reserving person has until 12 p.m. the following to restore the room. At other times, cleaning should be performed immediately after use.

Inspection

The person who has made the reservation is responsible for inspecting G-punkten before the reservation starts. If he/she does not report damages or other problems to the IBAC board inspector when they are discovered, he/she risks becoming responsible for compensating the damage. If the use concerns parties or such activities, the IBAC board inspector will inspect the room after use. This should happen directly after or at latest at 12 p.m. the next day. If flaws or damages are discovered during inspection, a fee corresponding to the cost of restoring the room will be charged. If insurance covers the damage, the fee will be the excess.

Dinner Set

A dinner set consisting of 50 place settings are available for the tenants to rent. Contact the board for more information.
